Man Saves Drowning Bear

Posted by Mark Meerman | April 27th, 2016

At Alligator Point in Florida USA a 180 Kg Black Bear was discovered rummaging through someone’s garbage bin. He was shot with a tranquiliser dart by the local wildlife authorities but, before losing consciousness, he made a break for the river. Unfortunately, the sedative then began to kick in and he started drowning.

Luckily, a local biologist by the name of Adam Warwick (despite the possibility of being mauled) swam to his rescue and dragged the unconscious bear the 23 meters to shore. The bear was then released back into the Osceola National Forest. Hats off to you Adam.
